Ya.D. Shirman (b. 1919) graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute 4-th course in 1941 and Leningrad Air Force Academy in 1944. D. Sc. (Eng.), professor of "Theoretical Bases of Radiolocation" Department of the Charkov Military University of Anti-Aircraft Defense. Honored Worker of Ukraine Science and Technology, 1979 and 1988 USSR State Prize Winner. Author of more than 300 publications and inventions in the field of radio electronics.
