We designed and constructed a system for determining measurement error using the Image Pattern Correlation Technique. The article presents functional flow block diagrams of the system, examines its components in detail and describes their specifications along with those of the electronic control unit of the system. We provide an operation algorithm of the system and example measurement results. The system makes it possible to determine measurement error for deformations of a 20 mm amplitude on a 380×380 mm2 surface in 0.5 mm increments horizontally and vertically, in 0.001 mm increments in height, when the error does not exceed 0.075 mm
