Influence of Design Features and Gas Filling Parameters on Dynamically Tuned Gyroscope Characteristics

The purpose of this work was to evaluate the influence of design features and gas filling parameters on characteristics of dynamically tuned gyroscopes (DTG). In order to do it, we solved the following tasks. First, we built a DTG gas-dynamic model based on Navier - Stokes equations, taking into consideration the specific design features of gyroscopes. Next, we solved the resulting equations with respect to the velocity and pressure in the end and radial clearance of the device. Finally, we defined the disturbance torque from the forces caused by the pressure and viscous friction.
