Open Systems Concept and Authentification Problem in Local Area Networks

A problem of providing safety of local area computer networks with the help of ad hoc software - protocols of network authentification - is considered. Capabilities of such protocols to confirm powers of network users during the organization of their access to data resources are shown by example of Kerberos - protocol of network authentification.
