Measurement of Angle of Elevation in Two-Coordinate Radar Stations

A method of the amplitude-phase measurement of an angle of elevation is investigated for the two- coordinate route and aerodrome radar stations to control the air traffic. The dual frequency approach to eliminate the ambiguity of measurements due to phase cycling is applied. The experimental research was conducted that confirmed the method efficiency. The possible method accuracy is shown to be high enough for its practical use.
