The efficiency of applying the adaptive least-squares algorithm is studied for the problem of compensating clutters in radar with the quasi-continuous pseudo-random signal. Estimates of the compensation efficiency are obtained versus clutter parameters. A generalized parameter is introduced which describes a clutter. Approximating analytical expressions are obtained for the compensation efficiency estimation. The modification of the algorithm is proposed which allows one to take into account the prior information on distribution of clutters.
