Spectral Processing of Information in Radar Systems of Air Traffic Control

The study focuses on the method of spectral processing of target signal bursts in output of the moving target indication system in the survey radar systems of air traffic control radars. It makes it possible to increase the noise immunity of these systems. The method is based on calculating, processing and filtering the Doppler spectra of received signals with an adaptive account of current intensity maps and clutter speed. We propose a method for clutter compensation in the spectral region by estimating the parameters of the compensating signal from the input sample. Findings of radar system tests showed an improvement in subclutter visibility and a significant decrease in the flow of false clutter marks transmitted to the trajectory processing
