Problems of application of hyper-spectral measurements for remote sounding of the Earth's surface in the optical range of 0.3...1 µm are considered. A prototype of the air-based hyper-spectrometer, created by the scientific and technical center "NTTs "Reagent" in cooperation with some institutions of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is schematically described. Results of indoor tests of the device spectral and spatial characteristics are given. It is shown that principles laid in the design of the hyper-spectrometer may be used for the development of some new (in particular, cosmic) hyper-spectral apparatus.
